Bath repair at your home in Waterside
Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. If you’re dealing with rust spots around the plughole and damage done while the bathroom was being fitted, we can help.
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in East Dunbartonshire.

Why repair rather than replace?
Cast iron baths especially are worth keeping: getting one out, particularly from an upstairs bathroom, is a big job, and a like-for-like replacement can be expensive. Repairing it leaves it where it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Waterside. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Why Waterside clients choose us
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- Normally one visit, start to finish
- A fixed quote before booking
- One-year guarantee on every repair
Take a look at our prices page and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
How to care for the repair
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:
- Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- Put a towel in the bath if you’re working above it
Keep metal objects like razors and cans off the surface, as they can leave rust marks. And fix dripping taps promptly.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.

What affects the price in Waterside
Repairs from £95. There is no area surcharge for Waterside. What changes the price is:
- How many areas need work
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
Two or three clear pictures are normally enough. It helps if you send:
- Where you are, by postcode
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Natural light rather than flash
- One picture of the whole bath
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
How the visit works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Allow a morning or an afternoon. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Ensure the room can be ventilated

For landlords and businesses
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Waterside: your questions answered
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Usually. Photos of the hole and the underside help us check.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes, we match coloured baths too. We tint the finish to your bath on site.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
How long does the repair take to cure?
Most baths can be used the next day. We confirm the time before we leave.
Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
Most of the time. The back of the crack is strengthened before the front is filled and refinished, so access behind the panel is important.
Which areas do you work in?
All of East Dunbartonshire, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.
