Work for landlords and builders
Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
Resealing in Abbotswood: why it matters
Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Abbotswood: your questions answered
When can you do it?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the entire UK, including Abbotswood and the rest of Hampshire. Send your postcode with your photos and we’ll confirm dates.
How long will it take?
Around two hours for a bath, plus curing time.

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Do you cover Abbotswood?
Yes, we do. We send a technician to Abbotswood for every job, with no extra charge for travel.
Do you seal over the old sealant?
All the old sealant comes out. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.

What we can’t put right
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- Movement in the bath or tray
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

The process
Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for a couple of hours. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to care for it.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.
Preparing for the visit
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Make sure the area is dry

Aftercare tips
To keep it looking its best:
- Store bottles on a shelf
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
Avoid scraping the joints, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
Reseal before water gets in. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
