We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Do you charge for travel?
There’s no separate call-out charge. Your fixed quote includes everything.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
In nearly every case. If photos do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
How we handle bath resealing in Back
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest, so the seal does not tear when the bath is first used. Our repair technicians work on baths, wet rooms and basins & vanity units, and common reasons people get in touch are an untidy old seal and damp near the bath.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

What we cannot put right
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:
- Hollow or loose tiles
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Surfaces we repair
- Wet rooms
- Baths
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Basins & vanity units
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
The process
You do not need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take around two hours, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- We cut out and remove all of the old sealant.
- The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
- We dry the joint thoroughly.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, including around the taps.
Getting ready for the visit
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

Advice
Work for landlords and builders
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Back use us as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
When to call us in Back
Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the sealant itself, so cleaning only removes the surface.
People typically call us after spotting something like this:
- Mould you cannot clean out
- Unsealed corners
- Stained silicone
- An untidy old seal
Before booking anyone
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- How soon you can use it again
- What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included

What bath resealing costs
We charge the same across the UK, including Back. The price reflects:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Whether we combine several jobs
- How hard the colour is to match
- The material
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Quotes from your pictures
Two or three clear pictures are generally enough. It helps if you send:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Where you are, by postcode
- Any details about the material
Send us a picture of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Back, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
DIY kit or professional repair?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

Is resealing worth it?
Resealing is a small job. Leaving split or mouldy sealant can let water reach the walls and floor, which costs far more to put right. A repair generally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
