About our bath resealing in Bromley

All of the old sealant is cut out, deal with any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. If you’re dealing with water getting behind the bath or tray and stained silicone, we can help.

Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work.

When to call us in Bromley

No sealant lasts for ever. Every bath or shower adds moisture and soap residue, which mould loves, and the joint flexes each time the bath fills.

Typical reasons for a call-out include:

  • Mould you cannot clean out
  • Old sealant that looks dirty
  • Sealant that is split or lifting
  • Silicone smeared on tiles

Before you book anyone

  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • What prep work is covered
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • Whether they match the colour on site

Choosing a repair company

DIY kit or professional repair?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

Why it’s worth resealing in Bromley

A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

Why us?

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • One price list for the entire UK
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • A fixed quote before you book

How the visit works

Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes about two hours for a bath, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. We clean, treat and dry the joint.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

Preparing for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

Ask for a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath or shower, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Common questions in Bromley

Is there a call-out fee?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Why does mould come back so fast?

Damp is the cause. Run the fan, dry the joints and the new seal stays cleaner for longer.

What happens next?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

How long will it take?

A bath or shower normally takes a couple of hours. It then needs time to cure.

Do you seal over the old sealant?

We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.

Is my repair covered?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

What do you need from me?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

When a repair is not the answer

Some jobs are not right for a repair, including:

  • Gaps too big for silicone alone
  • Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
  • A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

What we work on

  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Baths
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Wet rooms
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks

What affects the price in Bromley

Each job gets its own fixed price. These are the things that affect it:

  • How much damage there is
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The type of damage

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Bromley. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

Looking after it afterwards

Looking after the surface is easy:

  • Reseal at the first sign of lifting
  • Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
  • Wipe the joints dry after use
  • Use the extractor fan

Avoid scraping the joints, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.

Black mould in sealant is not just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.
