How bath repair works in BR2
You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, with the colour mixed on site. We regularly repair roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and deep scratches in acrylic.
Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. On site, it takes a few hours for most jobs. We leave the room clean.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.
Pricing in BR2
Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Local landmarks in Bromley
Locally, our jobs take us to homes close to St Mark's Church of England Primary School, The Richmal Crompton pub and Holy Trinity College Bromley. You’ll also find Bullers Wood School for Boys (1.2 miles east), Church of St Peter and St Paul (less than half a mile north) and Church House Gardens (less than half a mile north-west). Bromley has its own railway station: Bromley South station. Further afield, we also cover the area around Municipal Borough of Bromley (less than half a mile south-east) and The Mall (within half a mile east). Not far away are Downham Woodland Walk and Summer Hill.
Can I fix it myself?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
When we would advise against a repair
It helps to know what we can’t do:
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
Work for landlords and builders
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.
Signs you need bath repair
Most bath damage comes from something dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On steel and cast iron baths, a chip that reaches the metal lets water in, and rust follows.
Common reasons people in BR2 contact us are:
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- Holes from dropped items
- A chipped rim or side
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. There is no charge for travel to BR2. The price comes down to:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Whether we combine several jobs
- How hard the colour is to match
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Send pictures for a quote
Phone pictures are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- Details of any past repairs
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Where you are, by postcode
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
BR2 questions
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.
Can pets and children be at home?
Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including pastel and older colours.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Is there a call-out fee?
We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
How soon can you come?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
