Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Carclaze, Cornwall
Bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone at your home in Carclaze, with a one-year guarantee on every repair.
- Water getting behind the bath or tray
- Black mould in the sealant
- Old sealant that looks dirty

Why it’s worth resealing in Carclaze
Resealing is routine maintenance. Putting off a reseal can let water reach the walls and floor, and that damage costs much more to fix. Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Why us?
- We come to you, anywhere in the UK
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
- We leave the room as we found it
- Most jobs done in one visit

Bath resealing in Carclaze, done in place
The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. Fresh sealant does not stick to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. We work on kitchen worktops & sinks, basins & vanity units and baths, and the jobs we see most are silicone smeared on tiles and sealant that’s split or lifting.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

DIY kit or professional repair?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

How we price bath resealing
We price every job individually. What matters most is:
- How many items we do on one visit
- The type of damage
- The material and finish
- How hard the colour is to match
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.
How to get a fixed quote
The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.
When a repair is not the answer
We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
Materials we repair
- Wet rooms
- Baths
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Basins & vanity units
- Shower trays & enclosures
How the visit works
When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take around two hours. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

Keeping it looking good
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Store bottles on a shelf
Good ventilation is the best protection, and dry the joints after bathing.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
