Bath Resealing in Coatham
Bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone for householders, landlords and businesses in Coatham. Free, fixed quotes from your pictures.
- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- A messy previous reseal
- Silicone coming away from the tiles

Why it’s worth resealing in Coatham
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

About our bath resealing in Coatham
We cut out all of the old sealant, treat any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We reseal baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. Whether it’s leaks at the edges and old sealant that looks dirty, we can help, whatever the material.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Send photos for a quote
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath or shower, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Repairs by material
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, so the joint is at its widest.
Honest limits
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.
What we work on
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Wet rooms
- Basins & vanity units
- Baths
How the visit works
Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes about two hours for a bath, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
- The joint is dried thoroughly.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- We run a new bead of mould-resistant silicone and smooth it neatly, including around the taps.
Preparing for the visit
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Let us know which floor the room is on

Aftercare tips
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Store bottles on a shelf
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
- Dry the seal after bathing
Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, normally about a day.
Black mould in sealant isn’t just unsightly. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.

Coatham questions
Do you cover Coatham?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Coatham and the rest of Redcar and Cleveland. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Do you charge for travel?
We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Can new silicone go over old?
Never over old. It’s removed, cleaned off and the joint dried first.
Why does the silicone keep cracking?
Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We seal baths full of water.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Typically, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Is there any odour?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.
