Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Eastfield, Peterborough
Bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone in Eastfield, carried out at your home and guaranteed for a year.
- A messy previous reseal
- Gaps by the taps
- Discoloured, yellow sealant

Bath resealing at your home in Eastfield
We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint is at its widest, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. Our technicians work on basins & vanity units, kitchen worktops & sinks and wet rooms, and people most often call us about old sealant that looks dirty and a messy previous reseal.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Keeping it looking good
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Store bottles on a shelf
- Use the extractor fan
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
Keep the room well ventilated, and dry the joints after bathing so mould struggles to take hold.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, so we’ll tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
Why it’s worth resealing in Eastfield
A professional reseal costs little compared with water damage. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- A flexing bath
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.

Work for landlords and builders
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Peterborough and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Common problems we fix in Eastfield
In time, even good sealant discolours, especially in a busy family bathroom. Steam, soap and movement all wear it down.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Damp near the bath
- Silicone smeared on tiles
- Gaps in the seal
- Gaps by the taps
Questions to ask before booking

Eastfield: your questions answered
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.
How do I stop mould in sealant?
Mould needs moisture. Run the fan, dry the joints and the new seal stays cleaner for longer.
Can pets and children be at home?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children.
Will there be a smell?
Expect a mild smell while we are working that clears as it cures.
Do you cover Eastfield?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.
Are you a vetted contractor?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
