Bath resealing in Eastwood without replacing anything
We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint is at its widest, so the seal does not tear when the bath is first used. We’re often asked to fix black spots in the silicone and damp near the bath, in shower trays & enclosures, basins & vanity units and kitchen worktops & sinks.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re covered after the visit.

The process
The work is clean and fairly quiet. We protect the area first, then the work takes a couple of hours. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
Before we arrive
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
Advice
What we can’t put right
It helps to know what we can’t do:
- Hollow or loose tiles
- A flexing bath
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
Materials we work on in Eastwood

Repairs by material
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.
Your questions about bath resealing in Eastwood
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.
Do you seal over the old sealant?
All the old sealant comes out. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.
Can pets and children be at home?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.
How soon can you come?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.
Will there be a smell?
It depends on the job, but often a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
For landlords and businesses
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details and we’ll arrange it.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Southend-on-Sea and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Looking after it afterwards
Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts:
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Air the room after use
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
Run the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. It may be more than a reseal, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.

- Mould you can’t clean out
- Water getting behind the bath or tray
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
- Unsealed corners
What your quote should include
- What prep work is covered
- Aftercare advice
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
How we price bath resealing
There’s no area surcharge for Eastwood. The price reflects:
- The type of damage
- The colour and finish to match
- What the surface is made of
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Eastwood. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
How to get a fixed quote
Two or three clear pictures are usually enough. It helps if you send:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Details of any past repairs
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.
Why reseal now?
Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. Compared with replacing, repairing generally costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
