Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Fishguard and Goodwick, Pembrokeshire
Bath resealing across Fishguard and Goodwick and nearby, usually in one visit.
- Water getting behind the bath or tray
- A messy previous reseal
- Unsealed corners

Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Keep the joints dry
- Air the room after use
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Ventilate the bathroom well
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, normally about a day.
Black mould in sealant isn’t just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.
How we handle bath resealing in Fishguard and Goodwick
A reseal is a small job that makes a big difference. Fresh joints make the entire room look cleaner, and they protect the walls and floor. We regularly repair kitchen worktops & sinks, shower trays & enclosures and baths, and people most often call us about black spots in the silicone and old sealant that looks dirty.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once we have gone.

Why reseal now?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Fishguard and Goodwick. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Why book with us
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- No need to remove anything
- One price list for the entire UK
- Typically one visit, start to finish
See our prices page.
Work for landlords and builders
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
What your bath or shower is made of matters
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
What we do, step by step
Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so there are no surprises. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. Allow around two hours, and we’ll tell you if anything changes.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
How to prepare
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Advice
Prices and what affects them
Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
Send pictures for a quote
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- Natural light rather than flash
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
- Details of any past repairs
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

Fishguard and Goodwick questions
Are you accredited?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.
What do you need from me?
Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.
What happens if you find more damage?
We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Why does the silicone keep cracking?
Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We seal baths full of water.
Do the materials smell?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.
DIY kit or professional repair?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
When a repair isn’t the answer
We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- A flexing bath
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
