Bath Resealing for Fullarton homes
Bath resealing for Fullarton, without a refit. Send us photos for a fixed quote, then book a visit.
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
- Damp near the bath
- Gaps by the taps

Why reseal now?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Bath resealing at your home in Fullarton
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest, so the seal doesn’t tear when the bath is first used. We are often asked to fix black mould in the sealant and gaps by the taps, in kitchen worktops & sinks, baths and shower trays & enclosures.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

What we can’t put right
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Materials we repair
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Baths
- Wet rooms
- Basins & vanity units
- Shower trays & enclosures
What happens on the day
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to a couple of hours, tidy-up included.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
- We dry the joint thoroughly.
- For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
- We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, including around the taps.
Getting ready for the visit
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Keep a parking space free if you can

Work for landlords and builders
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in North Ayrshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
How to care for the repair
Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Let steam out after showers
Keep the room well ventilated, and dry the joints after bathing so mould struggles to take hold.
Do not wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
When to call us in Fullarton
Sealant does not last forever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould loves, and the joint flexes each time the bath fills.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Sealant that’s split or lifting
- Missing sealant behind the taps
- Leaks at the edges
- Old sealant that looks dirty
