Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Greenbank, Bristol
Bath resealing across Greenbank and nearby, done in a single visit in most cases and guaranteed for a year.
- Black spots in the silicone
- Damp near the bath
- A messy previous reseal

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.
Bath resealing at your home in Greenbank
A good reseal is all about preparation: old silicone removed, mould treated, the joint cleaned and dried. Then the fresh sealant goes on, in a neat, continuous bead. Our repair technicians work on kitchen worktops & sinks, shower trays & enclosures and basins & vanity units, and common reasons people get in touch are unsealed corners and an untidy old seal.
You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will sort it.

Prices and what affects them
Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- How much damage there is
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The material
- How many items we do on one visit
No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed price
You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- The material, if you know it
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.
Greenbank: your questions answered
How soon can you come?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.
Will there be a smell?
It depends on the job, but often a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the entire UK, including Greenbank and the rest of Bristol. Send your postcode with your photos and we will offer you dates.
When can I use the bath after resealing?
Normally about a day later. We’ll tell you the exact time.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.
Can new silicone go over old?
We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone doesn’t stick to old.
Can I fix it myself?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.
How it works
Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which normally takes about two hours for a bath. If anything looks different from your pictures, we will talk to you before going ahead.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
- We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Preparing for the visit
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
How to get a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Is resealing worth it?
Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s quick, tidy and protects your home. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Keep the joints dry
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, normally about a day.
Do not wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
