Bath resealing in Greta Bridge, done in place
Baths, trays, basins and kitchen worktops all get resealed, with mould-resistant sanitary silicone. Most jobs take a couple of hours, then it needs to cure. We work on kitchen worktops & sinks, baths and basins & vanity units, and common reasons people get in touch are mould you can’t clean out and sealant that’s split or lifting.
Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

For landlords and businesses
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
If you manage property in Greta Bridge, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send pictures for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.
Do you need bath resealing in Greta Bridge?
Joints split if the bath or tray moves, frequently because it was sealed while the bath was empty.
Look out for these signs:
- Old sealant that looks dirty
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
- Damp near the bath
- Silicone smeared on tiles
What to look for in a quote
- Aftercare advice
- What protection goes down before work starts
- What prep work is covered
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
Aftercare tips
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Keep the joints dry
- Use the extractor fan
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Store bottles on a shelf
Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, normally about a day.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. There may be more going on, and we will say if you need a builder or plumber.
How it works
On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. The job generally runs to a couple of hours, tidy-up included.
- We cut out and remove all of the old sealant.
- The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
- The joint is dried thoroughly.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, taps included.
Preparing for the visit
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
Getting a price
You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Your questions about bath resealing in Greta Bridge
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Why does my sealant keep splitting?
Typically because the bath or tray moves, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We fill the bath before sealing it.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
Different materials, different repairs
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.
Resealing in Greta Bridge: why it matters
Putting new silicone over old doesn’t last. It peels within weeks, and mould stays trapped behind it. A proper reseal removes the old first. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.
Why book with us
- Most jobs done in one visit
- We leave the room as we found it
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Straight answers about what a repair can do
Read our prices page.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
When a repair is not the answer
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- Hidden water damage
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.
