Hambledon questions

What do you need from me?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

Is my repair covered?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Usually, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the entire UK, including Hambledon and the rest of Hampshire. Just include your postcode and we’ll offer you dates.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and we will quote them together.

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we are working, which fades afterwards.

Bath resealing in Hambledon without replacing anything

Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Failed sealant lets water get where it shouldn’t, and a new seal stops it. Our repair technicians work on kitchen worktops & sinks, baths and shower trays & enclosures, and common reasons people get in touch are old sealant that looks dirty and silicone coming away from the tiles.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

For landlords and businesses

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will handle the rest.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Repairs by material

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

Keeping it looking good

It’s all simple stuff:

  • Reseal at the first sign of lifting
  • Keep the joints dry
  • Air the room after use
  • Clean the sealant gently and regularly

Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, normally about a day.

Don’t wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.

How we price bath resealing

A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The material and finish
  • The type of damage
  • How many items we do on one visit

Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

How to get a fixed price

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Natural light rather than flash

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.

When we’d advise against a repair

To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:

  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
  • Movement in the bath or tray
  • Gaps too big for silicone alone

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.

What we work on

  • Wet rooms
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Baths

Why reseal now?

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. We remove the old sealant completely. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

Why us?

  • A fixed quote before you book
  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • Work done at your home or business
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

See our full price list.

What we do, step by step

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the work takes around two hours. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. We clean, treat and dry the joint.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

How to prepare

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Make sure the area is dry

How to get a price
