Bath resealing in Hammersmith without replacing anything

We cut out all of the old sealant, deal with any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. We work on wet rooms, baths and shower trays & enclosures, and people most often call us about damp near the bath and black spots in the silicone.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

FAQs for Hammersmith

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

Why does my sealant keep splitting?

Something is moving. If it keeps happening, the support may need fixing.

Why does mould come back so fast?

Damp is the cause. Ventilation and drying keep it clean longer.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Of course, and it usually saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.

What happens next?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

What affects the price in Hammersmith

There’s no charge for travel to Hammersmith. The price depends on:

  • The type of damage
  • How many areas need work
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • Whether we combine several jobs

We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

How to get a fixed price

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower
  • The material, if you know it
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Something in shot to show the size

Most customers in Hammersmith get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

When to call us in Hammersmith

A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: moisture sits on the joints longer, and mould grows faster.

Most people contact us after spotting one of these:

  • Missing sealant behind the taps
  • Silicone coming away from the tiles
  • Old sealant that looks dirty
  • Leaks at the edges

What your quote should include

  • How soon you can use it again
  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
  • Aftercare advice
  • Whether a trained technician does the job

Our hiring checklist

Keeping it looking good

It’s all simple stuff, just a few sensible habits:

  • Air the room after use
  • Give the seal a regular clean
  • Keep the joints dry
  • Ventilate the bathroom well

Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.

Is resealing worth it?

A professional reseal costs little compared with water damage. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

What you get with us

  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • One price list for the whole UK
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Work done at your home or business

How the visit works

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the work takes around two hours. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. We cut out all of the old sealant.
  2. We remove the residue and clean the joint.
  3. We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
  4. The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
  5. We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
