Bath resealing in Hastings without replacing anything
We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint opens fully, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. Whether it’s leaks at the edges and mould you can’t clean out, we can typically put it right.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard.

Is resealing worth it?
Resealing costs very little, and it protects everything around the bath. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

Looking after it afterwards
Nothing complicated is needed:
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Give the seal a regular clean
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, typically around 24 hours.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. There may be more going on, and we’ll say if you need a builder or plumber.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.
What affects the price in Hastings
Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- How many items we do on one visit
- How much damage there is
- The material
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.
How to get a fixed price
Phone pictures are fine, there is no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
Email us a photo of the damage and one of the entire item, with your TN34 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
What a repair can’t fix
In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- Hollow or loose tiles
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Hidden water damage
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

- Wet rooms
