Bath resealing at your home in Blacklands
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. We work on wet rooms, kitchen worktops & sinks and baths, and common reasons people get in touch are black spots in the silicone and damp near the bath.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone.

Keeping it looking good
So the finish stays in good condition for years:
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
Keep the room well ventilated, and dry the joints after bathing so mould struggles to take hold.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. There may be more going on, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
Landlord and trade work in Blacklands
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Blacklands use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Repairs by material
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
Signs you need bath resealing in Blacklands
Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the silicone, so cleaning only removes the surface.
Signs it’s time to call us include:
- Black spots in the silicone
- Gaps by the taps
- A messy previous reseal
- Leaks at the edges

What we do, step by step
The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes around two hours. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.
- The old silicone is cut out completely.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.

How we price bath resealing
Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- How many areas need work
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
How to get a fixed quote
The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Any details about the material
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and no obligation.
What a repair cannot fix
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Hidden water damage
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Basins & vanity units
- Baths
- Wet rooms
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
