Trusted bath resealing in Hatchet Green

Bath resealing in Hatchet Green, done in place

All of the old sealant is cut out, treat any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We reseal baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. Our technicians work on baths, shower trays & enclosures and wet rooms, and the jobs we see most are a messy previous reseal and black spots in the silicone.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll sort it.

What we do, step by step

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which normally takes about two hours for a bath. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. All the old sealant is cut out and removed.
  2. The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
  3. The joint is dried thoroughly.
  4. We fill a bath with water before sealing so the gap is at its widest.
  5. We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, including around the taps.

Why reseal now?

A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

What you get with us

  • We leave the room as we found it
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • No extra charge for your area

Landlords, agents and businesses in Hatchet Green

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Hatchet Green use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Hampshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

DIY kit or professional repair?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

Hatchet Green questions

Do you charge for travel?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Is there any odour?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Do you come to Hatchet Green?

We do. We send a technician to Hatchet Green for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

Will the price change on the day?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

My seal keeps tearing. Why?

The bath or tray is probably flexing. Persistent splitting can mean the support needs attention.

What affects the price in Hatchet Green

We do not charge extra for travel to Hatchet Green. The price depends on:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The colour and finish to match

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Hatchet Green. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed price

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.
