Bath Resealing for Highmoor homes
Bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone at your home in Highmoor, with a one-year guarantee on every repair.
- Gaps by the taps
- An untidy old seal
- Stained silicone

Bath resealing in Highmoor, done in place
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint opens fully, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. We’re often asked to fix mould you can’t clean out and gaps by the taps, across baths, kitchen worktops & sinks and basins & vanity units.
Every job is backed for twelve months. We return to put right any problem with the work.

Highmoor: your questions answered
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
How long will it take?
Around two hours for a bath, then it needs to cure.
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.
Will the price change on the day?
The price is fixed for what the photos show. If there’s more, we’ll tell you before starting.
Which areas do you work in?
Across the UK, so Highmoor is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.
My seal keeps tearing. Why?
Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We seal baths full of water.
DIY kit or professional repair?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
The process
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. Protection goes down first, then the work takes around two hours. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
Preparing for the visit
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Clear the area around the damage
- Keep a parking space free if you can
Getting a price
There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
Related advice
Why reseal now?
Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

What affects the price in Highmoor
Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The colour and finish to match
- How easy the damage is to reach
- What the surface is made of
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Send photos for a quote
You can take the pictures on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Any details about the material
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
Upload pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your RG9 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
Honest limits
A repair is not right for every job, for example:
- Hollow or loose tiles
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- A flexing bath
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Wet rooms
- Baths
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Basins & vanity units
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
Aftercare tips
So the finish stays in good condition:
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Air the room after use
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
Do not scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, and we’ll say if you need a builder or plumber.
What we are called out for in Highmoor
In time, even good sealant discolours. Steam, soap and movement all wear it down.
The most common problems we’re called about are:
- Water getting behind the bath or tray
- Black spots in the silicone
- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- Gaps in the seal
