Bath resealing in Inkerman

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

About our bath resealing in Inkerman

A fresh seal protects your bathroom. Failed sealant lets water get where it shouldn’t, and resealing puts a stop to that. Our repair technicians work on basins & vanity units, wet rooms and kitchen worktops & sinks, and common reasons people get in touch are sealant that’s split or lifting and damp near the bath.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we will come back.

How the visit works

You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. It normally takes a couple of hours, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. All the old sealant is cut out and removed.
  2. The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
  3. We dry the joint thoroughly.
  4. We fill a bath with water before sealing so the gap is at its widest.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, including around the taps.

How to prepare

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

Getting a price

Advice

What affects the price in Inkerman

We charge the same across the UK, including Inkerman. What changes the price is:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Access to the area

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Inkerman. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • One picture of the entire bath or shower
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

Inkerman: your questions answered

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Do you work in Inkerman?

We do. We send a technician to Inkerman for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Is there a guarantee?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you’ll get one combined price.

How much does bath resealing cost in Inkerman?

Because every job differs, we price from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

Do you do work for letting agents?

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Honest limits

A repair is not right for every job, including:

  • Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
  • Loose tiles, which need refixing first
  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Why reseal now?

Resealing is a small job. Putting off a reseal lets water get behind the bath or tray, which costs far more to put right. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

What you get with us

  • One price list for the entire UK
  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
