Bath resealing in Keeper's Corner

Bath resealing in Keeper's Corner, done in place

Preparation is everything in a reseal: old silicone removed, mould treated, the joint cleaned and dried. Only then does the new sealant go on, as one neat, continuous bead. We regularly repair wet rooms, shower trays & enclosures and baths, and common reasons people contact us are gaps by the taps and sealant that’s split or lifting.

Every repair is covered by a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Surrey.

What we do, step by step

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take about two hours for a bath.

  1. We cut out all of the old sealant.
  2. We remove the residue and clean the joint.
  3. We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
  4. The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
  5. We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.

Before we arrive

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Work for landlords and builders

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Surrey and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

If you manage property in Keeper's Corner, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll come back with a combined price.

Do you need bath resealing in Keeper's Corner?

Even good sealant eventually discolours particularly in a well-used bathroom. Steam, soap and movement all take their toll.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • Gaps by the taps
  • Leaks at the edges
  • Old sealant that looks dirty
  • Black mould in the sealant

How to compare quotes

Prices and what affects them

We charge the same across the UK, including Keeper's Corner. What changes the price is:

  • How many areas need work
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material and finish

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Getting a price from pictures

When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath or shower, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.

Common questions in Keeper's Corner

Will it make a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

What does bath resealing cost?

We give a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Can you quote from photos?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

Does someone need to be in?

We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.

How long does a reseal take?

Around two hours for a bath, then it needs to cure.

Do you come to Keeper's Corner?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Keeper's Corner. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Why does my sealant keep splitting?

Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We fill the bath before sealing it.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners across Surrey.

Keeping it looking good

Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:

  • Keep bottles off the joints
  • Open a window after bathing
  • Reseal at the first sign of lifting
  • Clean the sealant gently and regularly

Keep the room well ventilated, and dry the joints after bathing so mould struggles to take hold.

Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. It may be more than a reseal, and we will say if you need a builder or plumber.

Honest limits

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • Very wide gaps that need a trim
  • A flexing bath
  • Hidden water damage

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Wet rooms
  • Baths
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks

Can I fix it myself?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Different materials, different repairs

Baths

Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest.

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.
