Bath repair at your home in RH6

A damaged bath does not have to mean a new bathroom. Our repair technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, with the colour mixed on site. We work on whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and cast iron enamel, and people most frequently call us about rusty patches near the plughole and a chip where the taps sit.

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.

  1. First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
  2. Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.

Cost

Our bath repair starts from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including RH6. What changes the price is:

  • The type of damage
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The material
  • How many areas need work

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How to get a fixed price

When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Pressed steel

Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.

Acrylic

An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.

Work for landlords and builders

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

How the damage happens

Baths take more knocks than people expect: bottles, shower heads and razors are dropped every day, and fittings press hard against the enamel. Over time, chips and rust spots are almost inevitable.

Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Rust spots around the plughole
  • Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
  • Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
  • A chipped rim or side
