Bath resealing in Lind Head, done in place
All of the old sealant is cut out, treat any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We reseal baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. We’re often asked to fix black mould in the sealant and silicone coming away from the tiles, on baths, kitchen worktops & sinks and shower trays & enclosures.
We guarantee the work for a year. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right.

Your questions about bath resealing in Lind Head
How much does bath resealing cost in Lind Head?
Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You know the full cost before anything is booked.
Will the price change on the day?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Are you accredited?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
How do I stop mould in sealant?
Mostly moisture and poor ventilation. We use mould-resistant silicone, and ventilation helps it last.
What information do you need?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.
Do you seal over the old sealant?
All the old sealant comes out. Fresh silicone doesn’t stick to old.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
When we’d advise against a repair
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.
What we work on
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Wet rooms
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Baths
- Basins & vanity units
Should I try a DIY kit first?
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
The process
Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your pictures first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes a couple of hours, and we leave the room as we found it.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
- The joint is dried thoroughly.
- For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
- We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, taps included.
Getting ready for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Why it’s worth resealing in Lind Head
Resealing costs very little and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Why Lind Head clients choose us
- We leave the room as we found it
- A fixed quote before booking
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Honest advice, even when it means no job

What your bath or shower is made of matters
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.
What affects the price in Lind Head
There’s no area surcharge for Lind Head. The price reflects:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Whether we combine several jobs
- What kind of damage it is
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:
- Details of any past repairs
- The material, if you know it
- A photo taken from further back
- Something in shot to show the size
Send us a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, with your YO13 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
