Bath resealing in Meresborough without replacing anything

We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint opens fully, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. If you’re dealing with silicone smeared on tiles and water getting behind the bath or tray, we can help.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Meresborough and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.

Baths

Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest.

Work for landlords and builders

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Can I fix it myself?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

When we would advise against a repair

We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
  • Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
  • Gaps too big for silicone alone

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Basins & vanity units
  • Baths
  • Wet rooms
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks

Meresborough questions

Which areas do you work in?

Everywhere in the UK, Meresborough included. There is no extra charge for travel.

How long will it take?

A bath or shower generally takes a couple of hours. It then needs time to cure.

How do I stop mould in sealant?

Damp is the cause. Run the fan, dry the joints and the new seal stays cleaner for longer.

Do the materials smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working, which fades afterwards.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Usually, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

How long does silicone take to cure?

We will give you the curing time, normally around a day.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Is resealing worth it?

Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s quick, tidy and protects your home. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

How the visit works

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which normally takes about two hours for a bath. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
  2. Old sealant and residue are removed.
  3. We clean, treat and dry the joint.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

How to get a price

You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

What we are called out for in Meresborough

Poor ventilation speeds things up: damp hangs around, and mould grows faster.

Look out for these signs:

  • Discoloured, yellow sealant
  • An untidy old seal
  • Mould you can’t clean out
  • Missing sealant behind the taps

Before you book anyone

  • How soon you can use it again
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT

Our hiring checklist

What bath resealing costs

There’s no area surcharge for Meresborough. What changes the price is:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • What the surface is made of

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Meresborough. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

Two or three clear photos are usually enough. Try to include:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath or shower, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
