Bath resealing in Narberth without replacing anything

Resealing is quick, but it transforms the look. Fresh joints make the entire room look cleaner, and they keep water out. Typical jobs include mould you can’t clean out and old sealant that looks dirty, across shower trays & enclosures, wet rooms and kitchen worktops & sinks.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Work for landlords and builders

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

DIY kit or professional repair?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Why reseal now?

Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

Questions from Narberth

Will the price change on the day?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

What do you need from me?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Do you cover the whole of Pembrokeshire?

The entire UK, including all of Pembrokeshire. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

Can you reseal over the old silicone?

We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

When we’d advise against a repair

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • Movement in the bath or tray
  • Gaps too big for silicone alone
  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Wet rooms
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Baths
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Shower trays & enclosures

What bath resealing costs

There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Access to the area
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The material

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Getting a price from pictures

Phone pictures are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Ensure they show:

  • A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. There is no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

The process

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to a couple of hours, tidy-up included.

  1. First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
  2. Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
  3. We dry the joint thoroughly.
  4. For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
  5. We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, taps included.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Open a window if you can

Looking after it afterwards

Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:

  • Let steam out after showers
  • Replace the seal when mould sets in
  • Use the extractor fan
  • Store bottles on a shelf

Avoid scraping the joints, and don’t stand bottles on the seal.

If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. It may be more than a reseal, and we’ll say if you need a builder or plumber.
