Bath resealing in Templeton without replacing anything

Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Failed sealant lets water get where it shouldn’t, and a new seal stops it. If you’re dealing with gaps in the seal and discoloured, yellow sealant, we can help, whatever the material.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard.

Repairs by material

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, so the joint is at its widest.

How the visit works

We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your pictures first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes a couple of hours, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. We clean, treat and dry the joint.
  4. Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Aftercare tips

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Keep bottles off the joints
  • Let steam out after showers
  • Ventilate the bathroom well
  • Replace the seal when mould sets in

Do not scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.

Reseal before water gets in. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.

Work for landlords and builders

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Pembrokeshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

Is resealing worth it?

A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

When a repair is not the answer

It helps to know what we can’t do too:

  • Movement in the bath or tray
  • Very wide gaps that need a trim
  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Wet rooms
  • Baths
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Shower trays & enclosures

Signs you need bath resealing in Templeton

Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the silicone, so cleaning can’t get it all out.

If you can see any of these, send us a photo:

  • Sealant that’s split or lifting
  • Damp near the bath
  • Missing sealant behind the taps
  • Black spots in the silicone

What your quote should include

  • How the colour is matched
  • Who turns up on the day
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included

Common questions in Templeton

What happens next?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.

How do I book?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners across Pembrokeshire.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Typically, yes. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send photos.

Do you hold any accreditations?

We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Do you cover the whole of Pembrokeshire?

Everywhere in the UK, Templeton included. Travel is included in the price.

Can new silicone go over old?

No, we never seal over old silicone. The old sealant is cut out and the joint cleaned and dried.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
