How we price bath resealing
We price every job individually, from your photos. What matters most is:
- Access to the area
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- How many areas need work
- What the surface is made of
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Send photos for a quote
Phone photos are fine. Just make sure we can see:
- Any details about the material
- A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
If you’re in Pentre and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
Is resealing worth it?
Putting new silicone over old does not last. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. A repair typically costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
What we can’t put right
Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. We cannot fix:
- Movement in the bath or tray
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.
