Coloured bath resurfacing near Pentre

How the visit works

You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. It generally takes one to two days for a full suite, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Pentre without replacing anything

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We work on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and common reasons people get in touch are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We take into account:

  • Access to the area
  • The material
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The type of damage

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed price

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A photo taken from further back

You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

FAQs for Pentre

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.

What happens after I send pictures?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

Do I need to be at home?

We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.

Is there a call-out fee?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If photos do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Will there be a smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Are you accredited?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Can landlords book you?

Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

When to call us in Pentre

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Questions to ask before booking

  • If travel is included in the price
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show

Choosing a repair company

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

What you get with us

  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK

For landlords and businesses

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

What we cannot put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.
