Bath resealing in Ramsey without replacing anything
Preparation is everything in a reseal: every bit of old silicone out, mould treated, the joint clean and dry. Only then does the new sealant go on, as one neat, continuous bead. If you are dealing with unsealed corners and gaps in the seal, we can help.
All our work comes with a one-year guarantee.

Landlord and trade work in Ramsey
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Aftercare tips
Aftercare is simple:
- Air the room after use
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Ventilate the bathroom well
Do not scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
Do not wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
Why reseal now?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is, and it protects everything around the bath. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

What happens on the day
You do not need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. It generally takes around two hours, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
How to prepare
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Related advice
Can I fix it myself?
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
Ramsey questions
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Of course, and it typically saves money. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.
What happens after I send pictures?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.
How long will it take?
A bath or shower generally takes a couple of hours. Leave it to cure before use.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.
Are you accredited?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
No, we never seal over old silicone. The old sealant is cut out and the joint cleaned and dried.
When can you do it?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Repairs by material
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.
Prices and what affects them
Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. The main factors are:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The material and finish
- Whether we combine several jobs
- The colour and finish to match
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book.
Getting a price from photos
Phone pictures are fine. Just ensure we can see:
- A photo taken from further back
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
To get a price, send two or three photos through our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
