About our bath resealing in Sandy

A reseal is a small job that makes a big difference. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they protect the walls and floor. If you’re dealing with an untidy old seal and old sealant that looks dirty, we can help, on kitchen worktops & sinks, shower trays & enclosures and wet rooms alike.

Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee.

Is resealing worth it?

Resealing is routine maintenance. Leaving split or mouldy sealant can let water reach the walls and floor, which costs far more to put right. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book.

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

What we do, step by step

The work is clean and fairly quiet. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes about two hours for a bath. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

Advice

What bath resealing costs

There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • The material
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Send pictures for a quote

You can normally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • One picture of the whole bath or shower

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

Different materials, different repairs

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

Baths

Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest.

Your questions about bath resealing in Sandy

Do you work in Sandy?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Sandy and the rest of Carmarthenshire. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we will quote them together.

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Is my repair covered?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.

Do you seal over the old sealant?

No, we never seal over old silicone. It’s removed, cleaned off and the joint dried first.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

What we can’t put right

A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
  • Very wide gaps that need a trim
  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Sandy

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Sandy as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it typically costs far less than a refit.
