Bath repair at your home in SA15
You do not need a new bath because of a chip. Our repair technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. We regularly repair whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and cast iron enamel, and people most frequently call us about scratches you can feel with a fingernail and chips along the edge of the bath.
We work cleanly and quietly. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes a few hours. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the next day.
Pricing in SA15
Prices start from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

What’s near Llanelli
Locally, our jobs take us to homes close to The Halfmoon pub, Stebonheath C.P. School and Coedcae School, among other places. Other local landmarks include St Alban's Church (within half a mile north-east) and St. John Lloyd (0.8 miles north-east). Llanelli’s nearest station is Llanelli station, roughly 0.7 miles south-west of the centre. Nearby you’ll also find Llanelli New Castle (0.5 miles west) and Prince Philip Hospital (0.9 miles north-east). Green spaces nearby include WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre and Bryn Harddfan.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
Honest limits
Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, so it’s always worth repairing.
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Keeping it looking good
It’s all simple stuff, just a few sensible habits:
- Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
Care for the repair the same way as the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
A small chip is a quick job. Leave them and they collect dirt, stain and, on metal baths, rust, so early repair saves time and money.
Repairing versus replacing
Replacing a fitted bath normally involves a plumber, lifting out the old bath, re-tiling and a new panel and disposing of the old one. A repair deals only with the damage in a single visit.

SA15 questions
How long before I can use the bath?
Normally by the following day, depending on the repair.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
Most of the time. The back of the crack is strengthened before the front is filled and refinished, so we need access under the bath.
Will you leave a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including pastel and older colours.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Are there extra charges for SA15?
There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.
Will there be a smell?
It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help.
