Need bath resealing in Street Lane?

Bath resealing in Street Lane, done in place

Resealing is quick, but it transforms the look. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they keep water out. Common call-outs are for black mould in the sealant and sealant that’s split or lifting, in wet rooms, shower trays & enclosures and kitchen worktops & sinks.

Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee.

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

How we price bath resealing

Prices are worked out job by job, from your pictures. What matters most is:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • How many areas need work
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How easy the damage is to reach

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Send pictures for a quote

When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

What we do, step by step

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we’re there, the work takes around two hours. We leave the room clean and you’ll know when it can be used.

  1. All the old sealant is cut out and removed.
  2. The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
  3. We dry the joint thoroughly.
  4. Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, taps included.

How to prepare

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

How to get a price

You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Landlord and trade work in Street Lane

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

If you manage property in Street Lane, we will quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll price them together.

When to call us in Street Lane

Even good sealant eventually discolours particularly in a well-used bathroom. Steam, soap and movement all wear it down.

If you can see any of these, send us a picture:

  • Black spots in the silicone
  • Gaps by the taps
  • Leaks at the edges
  • Stained silicone

Before booking anyone

  • How changes to the job are handled
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • Aftercare advice

When a repair isn’t the answer

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
  • Very wide gaps that need a trim
  • Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Street Lane questions

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

How long does resealing take?

Usually a couple of hours, then it needs to cure.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

What happens after I send pictures?

You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

Are there extra charges for Street Lane?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

Can you reseal over the old silicone?

We always remove the old sealant completely. New silicone won’t bond to old.

Which areas do you work in?

The entire UK, including all of Derbyshire. Send your postcode with your pictures and we’ll confirm dates.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. If pictures do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Resealing in Street Lane: why it matters

A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is, and it protects everything around the bath. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
