About our bath resealing in Talysarn

A reseal is a small job that makes a big difference. Fresh joints make the whole room look cleaner, and they keep water out. We work on wet rooms, basins & vanity units and kitchen worktops & sinks, and the jobs we see most are damp near the bath and a messy previous reseal.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

Looking after it afterwards

Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:

  • Let steam out after showers
  • Wipe the joints dry after use
  • Don’t stand toiletries on the seal
  • Replace the seal when mould sets in

Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

Black mould in sealant isn’t just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.

How we price bath resealing

We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • The material
  • The type of damage
  • How many items we do on one visit

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

Work for landlords and builders

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

Honest limits

We will not take on work that will not last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
  • A flexing bath

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Basins & vanity units
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Wet rooms
  • Baths
  • Shower trays & enclosures

Shower trays

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.

Questions from Talysarn

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.

Do you work in Talysarn?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Talysarn and the rest of Gwynedd. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

What happens next?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.

Is there any odour?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.

Can you reseal over the old silicone?

No, we never seal over old silicone. It’s removed, cleaned off and the joint dried first.

Why reseal now?

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Talysarn. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Why Talysarn clients choose us

What we do, step by step

We begin by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. It normally takes about two hours for a bath, and we will keep you posted as we go.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. Old sealant and residue are removed.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

How to prepare

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

How to get a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
