Bath Resealing for Treveighan homes
Bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone at your home in Treveighan, with a one-year guarantee on every repair.
- Stained silicone
- Black mould in the sealant
- A messy previous reseal

Bath resealing in Treveighan without replacing anything
Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Old, split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, and resealing puts a stop to that. We regularly repair kitchen worktops & sinks, wet rooms and baths, and the jobs we see most are missing sealant behind the taps and water getting behind the bath or tray.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once we’ve gone.

Do you need bath resealing in Treveighan?
Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the silicone, so cleaning can’t get it all out.
Clients usually contact us about:
- Black spots in the silicone
- Leaks at the edges
- Gaps by the taps
- Silicone coming away from the tiles

Questions from Treveighan
Do you come to Treveighan?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Treveighan. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
When can I use the bath after resealing?
You will get the curing time from us.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
When can you do it?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Is there a guarantee?
All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.
Will the price change on the day?
Your quote covers the damage in the photos. If there is more, we’ll tell you before starting.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Do the materials smell?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
What we do, step by step
From the moment we arrive, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes about two hours for a bath, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

Advice
Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Give the seal a regular clean
- Air the room after use
- Ventilate the bathroom well
Do not scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem, it’s a sign moisture is sitting in the joint. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
Is resealing worth it?
Resealing is a small job. Putting off a reseal can let water reach the walls and floor, and that damage costs much more to fix. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

What affects the price in Treveighan
There is no area surcharge for Treveighan. The price reflects:
- How much damage there is
- Doing more than one item at once
- The material and finish
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Send pictures for a quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A photo taken from further back
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire bath or shower, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

What we can’t put right
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.
