Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Tywyn, Conwy
We travel to Tywyn for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Nothing is taken out, and the work is guaranteed.
- Black spots in the silicone
- An untidy old seal
- Water getting behind the bath or tray

What your bath or shower is made of matters
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, so the joint is at its widest.
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest.
Bath resealing in Tywyn, done in place
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint opens fully, so the seal does not tear when the bath is first used. Whether it’s silicone smeared on tiles and black mould in the sealant, we can generally put it right.
Every job is backed for twelve months. We return to put right any problem with the work.

Is resealing worth it?
Resealing costs very little. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
What you get with us
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- We leave the room as we found it
- No need to remove anything
Take a look at our prices page.
Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
How the visit works
We work cleanly and quietly. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes about two hours for a bath. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to look after it.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Preparing for the visit
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Let us know about parking or access

Advice
When we’d advise against a repair
In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.
Materials we repair
- Basins & vanity units
- Wet rooms
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Baths
For landlords and businesses
For anyone letting property in or around Tywyn, we will quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll price them together.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
How we price bath resealing
Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- How much damage there is
- How hard the colour is to match
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The material
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Tywyn. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Send photos for a quote
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:
- Any details about the material
- Something in shot to show the size
- Details of any past repairs
- A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.
How to look after the repair
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Give the seal a regular clean
Good ventilation is the best protection, and dry the joints after bathing so mould struggles to take hold.
Black mould in sealant is not just unsightly. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
