How we price bath resealing
We give every job a fixed price from photos. This is what makes a difference:
- How hard the colour is to match
- The size and number of damaged areas
- How many items we do on one visit
- What kind of damage it is
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Walmley. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Quotes from your pictures
You can generally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To make it quick:
- Where you are, by postcode
- A picture taken from further back
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- The material, if you know it
To get a price, send two or three pictures using our quote form or call us. We will say right away whether it can be repaired.

Landlord and trade work in Walmley
If you manage property in Walmley, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Walmley as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it usually costs far less than a refit.
Can I fix it myself?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.

Walmley questions
What happens if you find more damage?
Your quote covers the damage in the photos. If there is more, we will tell you before starting.
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
How long does silicone take to cure?
Normally after around 24 hours. We confirm before we leave.
Is the work guaranteed?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
What happens next?
You get a fixed price and available dates. If we need another angle, we’ll ask.
Is it messy?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
How do I book?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.
Can new silicone go over old?
We always remove the old sealant completely. New silicone will not bond to old.
Honest limits
A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
- A flexing bath
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
Surfaces we repair
- Wet rooms
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Baths
- Basins & vanity units
Keeping it looking good
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Store bottles on a shelf
- Let steam out after showers
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
Good ventilation is the best protection, and wipe the joints after use.
Reseal before water gets in. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
Is resealing worth it?
Resealing costs very little. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

What we do, step by step
When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take around two hours. We clean up when we are done and let you know when you can use it again.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
How to prepare
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
