Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Woodlands, Glasgow
We travel to Woodlands for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Silicone smeared on tiles
- Unsealed corners
- Silicone coming away from the tiles

Repairs by material
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
Bath resealing in Woodlands, done in place
We cut out all of the old sealant, treat any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, including the awkward bits behind the taps. We’re often asked to fix silicone coming away from the tiles and damp near the bath, across wet rooms, shower trays & enclosures and baths.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Woodlands
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Glasgow and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Is resealing worth it?
Resealing costs very little, and it protects everything around the bath. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
What you get with us
- No extra charge for your area
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- A year’s guarantee on all work

Common problems we fix in Woodlands
No sealant lasts for ever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould feeds on, and the joint moves slightly every time the bath is filled.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Leaks at the edges
- Unsealed corners
- An untidy old seal
- Black spots in the silicone
Before you book anyone

- Whether the colour is mixed to match
- Aftercare advice

Your questions about bath resealing in Woodlands
Can you price it without visiting?
Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
Are you accredited?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it normally saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you will get one combined price.
Will it make a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.
Will there be a smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working.

What bath resealing costs
We do not charge extra for travel to Woodlands. The price depends on:
- How hard the colour is to match
- What the surface is made of
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- What kind of damage it is
Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
How to get a fixed price
Phone pictures are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- Natural light rather than flash
- Where you are, by postcode
- What it’s made of, if you know
- One sharp close-up of the damage
There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
How to care for the repair
Aftercare is simple:
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Keep the joints dry
- Let steam out after showers
- Store bottles on a shelf
Avoid scraping the joints, and do not stand bottles on the seal.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. There may be more going on, and we’ll say if you need a builder or plumber.
How it works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a couple of hours from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- We clean the joint and treat any mould.
- The joint is dried thoroughly.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, including around the taps.
How to prepare
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
Getting a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
