Coloured bath resurfacing in Bescot

Coloured bath resurfacing in Bescot, done in place

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, on whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Bescot and across Sandwell. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Common questions in Bescot

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Are there extra charges for Bescot?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

You will get a fixed quote back. There is no obligation to book.

Can tenants book a repair?

Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Prices start from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before booking.

When can you do it?

That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

Do you hold any accreditations?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Can I fix it myself?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

Common problems we fix in Bescot

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

The things clients usually mention when they call include:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Questions to ask before you book

  • How long it needs to cure
  • What prep work is covered
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • Whether they match the colour on site

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. Prices are worked out job by job, from your pictures. The main factors are:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How many areas need work
  • The material
  • Doing more than one item at once

Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Getting a price from pictures

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • What it’s made of, if you know

You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

When a repair is not the answer

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.

What we work on

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Repairing versus replacing in Bescot

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why Bescot customers choose us

  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Typically one visit, start to finish

Read our prices page and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

How the visit works

Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your photos first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. Most visits take one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
