Coloured bath resurfacing in Burghead

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Burghead

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We regularly repair coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and common reasons people get in touch are faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we’ll come back. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

For landlords and businesses

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Burghead as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

Common problems we fix in Burghead

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

What your quote should include

  • Whether the price covers travel
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • What preparation is included
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT

Our hiring checklist

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

What you get with us

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Generally one visit, start to finish
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor

Take a look at our prices page or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Honest limits

To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

Burghead questions

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Burghead?

Resurfacing from £350. Every job gets a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Can pets and children be at home?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

How do I book?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you’ll get one combined price.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, we frequently do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Getting a price from pictures

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • The material, if you know it

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job without visiting.
