Coloured bath resurfacing for Chetwynd homes

Coloured bath resurfacing in Chetwynd, done in place

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Our technicians work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and people most often call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How the visit works

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Plan for one to two days for a full suite. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Ask for a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

Chetwynd: your questions answered

Is it safe with children and pets around?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Do you charge for travel?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Chetwynd.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

What information do you need?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole suite and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

Compared with replacing, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Send photos for a quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Details of any past repairs
  • The material, if you know it
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

To get a price, send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

What a repair can’t fix

Some jobs are not right for a repair, including:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

For landlords and businesses

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Chetwynd use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
