Honest limits

We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Corton

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We’re often asked to fix faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, across whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays.

All our work is covered by a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How it works

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. If anything looks different from your pictures, we will talk to you before going ahead.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Getting a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Can I fix it myself?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Repair or replace in Corton?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

What you get with us

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Corton. The price reflects:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The material and finish
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

How to get a fixed quote

Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Something in shot to show the size

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.

Common problems we fix in Corton

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Customers typically contact us about:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
