Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Crook

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Crook

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Our repair technicians work on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites, and people most frequently call us about a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Crook and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Before and after: an old basin refinished to bright white

What happens on the day

We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we are doing. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. Allow a day or two, depending on how many items.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the day after.

Before we arrive

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

How to get a price

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

Advice

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Access to the area
  • The size and number of damaged areas

A repair usually costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Send pictures for a quote

When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • The material, if you know it
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A photo taken from further back

Email us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your LA8 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

When we would advise against a repair

We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

DIY repairs versus a professional job

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.

Crook: your questions answered

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

The price is fixed for what the pictures show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

What information do you need?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire suite and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

When can you do it?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Are there extra charges for Crook?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

Are you accredited?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
