Coloured bath resurfacing near Derriton

Coloured bath resurfacing in Derriton without replacing anything

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins, and people most often call us about a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour.

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Devon. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

For landlords and businesses

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. These are the things that affect it:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Getting a price from pictures

Phone pictures are fine. Just ensure we can see:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A photo taken from further back

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, add your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

When to call us in Derriton

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.

The most common problems we are called about are:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • How your room will be protected
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • If travel is included in the price

What a repair can’t fix

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book.

Why book with us

  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Generally one visit, start to finish

The process

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and clear up. Plan for a day or two, depending on how many items. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Open a window if you can
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Getting a price

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
