Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Greengate
A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. If you’re dealing with a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, we can normally put it right, whatever the material.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we can’t put right
A repair isn’t right for every job, including:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Coloured shower trays
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured basins
- Whole bathroom suites
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

What else we do in Greengate
Repair or replace in Greengate?
Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Why Greengate clients choose us
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface

FAQs for Greengate
Will there be a smell?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.
When can you do it?
We’ll give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.
Will it make a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
What about the toilet?
Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Do you charge for travel?
We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.
What happens if you find more damage?
The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
How it works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It normally takes one to two days for a full suite, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- Each item is left to cure, usually ready the day after.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs
Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Greengate. What changes the price is:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Doing more than one item at once
- How much damage there is
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.
Quotes from your pictures
Phone photos are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Ensure they show:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A wider photo showing the entire suite
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Greengate
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.
What we’re called out for in Greengate
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
