When to call us in Holy Cross

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

If you can see any of these, send us a picture:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Holy Cross

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Typical jobs include a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, across avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and coloured basins.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Honest limits

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • What the surface is made of
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Getting a price from photos

You can take the photos on your phone. Ensure they show:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • One picture of the whole suite
  • The material, if you know it
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed price the same day in most cases.

How it works

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you are not left guessing. Once we are there, the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items in most cases. The room is left tidy and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

How to get a price

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. There is no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Why Holy Cross clients choose us

  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Holy Cross as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Holy Cross questions

Will the price change on the day?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

Is repairing better than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

Do you cover Holy Cross?

Yes, we do. We send a technician to Holy Cross for every job, with no extra charge for travel.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Will there be a smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Can landlords book you?

Yes, frequently. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
