Coloured bath resurfacing in Illogan, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We work on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins, and common reasons people get in touch are selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

Every job is backed for twelve months in Illogan and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Choosing a repair company

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Illogan

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders across Cornwall.

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK, so Illogan is covered. Prices do not change with location.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Do I need to be at home?

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Of course, and it normally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Generally, yes. The old repair comes out first.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Usually, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

Landlord and trade work in Illogan

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. This is what makes a difference:

  • What the surface is made of
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The colour and finish to match

Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

Quotes from your pictures

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To help us price it:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • One picture of the whole suite

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can give you a fixed price the same day in most cases.

When we’d advise against a repair

We won’t take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

What happens on the day

Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

Getting a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Illogan. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
