Coloured bath resurfacing in Llan-fair, done in place

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, across coloured basins, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed price from pictures. This is what makes a difference:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The material and finish
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The type of damage

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed quote

Two or three clear pictures are normally enough. Try to include:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Most customers in Llan-fair get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

What happens on the day

Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. Most visits take one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

How to get a price

Advice

Llan-fair: your questions answered

Do you hold any accreditations?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we will plan for it.

Will you leave a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in Llan-fair?

Prices start from £350. We give a fixed price based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we are working.

For landlords and businesses

For anyone letting property in or around Llan-fair, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

When we would advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before you book.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
