Coloured bath resurfacing near The Herberts

For landlords and businesses

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in The Herberts

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Common call-outs are for a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, across whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

FAQs for The Herberts

Do you cover the whole of the Vale of Glamorgan?

The entire UK, including all of the Vale of Glamorgan. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Will you leave a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in The Herberts?

Prices start from £350. Every job gets a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Do you come to The Herberts?

Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to The Herberts from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can a coloured bath be made white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

When a repair is not the answer

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why book with us

  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • No extra charge for your area

How the visit works

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take a day or two, depending on how many items, including clearing up.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the following day.

How to prepare

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed price from photos. These are the things that affect it:

  • Access to the area
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • How much damage there is
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for The Herberts. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your pictures

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • Any details about the material

Most clients in The Herberts get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Common problems we fix in The Herberts

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s normally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
