Coloured bath resurfacing in New Zealand without replacing anything
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We regularly repair whole bathroom suites, coloured shower trays and coloured basins, and the jobs we see most are faded or patchy colour and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

New Zealand: your questions answered
Can you do the toilet too?
Ask us. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will tell you what will last.
Can you price it without visiting?
Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Do you cover the whole of Wiltshire?
We cover the whole UK, including New Zealand and the rest of Wiltshire. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will confirm dates.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in New Zealand?
Resurfacing from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from photos. You will get a fixed figure before you book.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in New Zealand?
Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.
People generally call us after spotting one of these:
- Faded or patchy colour
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A suite that does not match a new bathroom
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
Questions to ask before you book
- How long the guarantee is and what it covers
- Aftercare advice
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
- When it can be used again
Should I try a DIY kit first?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

What a repair can’t fix
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Whole bathroom suites
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
Repairing versus replacing in New Zealand
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for New Zealand. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How it works
We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you know when to expect us. On site, it takes one to two days for a full suite in most cases. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.
Before we arrive
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Open a window if you can
- Clear the area around the damage
