Coloured bath resurfacing near Pollokshaws

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Getting a price from photos

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • One picture of the entire suite
  • The material, if you know it
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and no obligation.

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Pollokshaws

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, in coloured basins, coloured shower trays and whole bathroom suites.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Why Pollokshaws customers choose us

How it works

You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. It normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Open a window if you can
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Advice

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

When a repair is not the answer

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

Questions from Pollokshaws

Is a repair better than a new one?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What happens after I send photos?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Is there any odour?

It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.

For landlords and businesses

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Pollokshaws use us as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
